Minnesota Stryker Hip Recall Lawyers

You may have heard about the Stryker hip recall, and you are wondering what you can do to protect yourself if you have this implanted medical device.

Over 300 lawsuits were brought in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota by Minnesotans injured due to defective Stryker hips.

The Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II products corroded after being implanted in patients, resulting in heavy metals such as chromium and cobalt being absorbed into the surrounding tissues and blood of victims. The hips can cause metal poisoning and tissue necrosis and require expensive surgery to remove and replace the defective hip.

In July of 2012, Stryker Orthopaedics recalled these defective hip systems.

On November 3, 2014, Stryker Corp. agreed to set aside $1.43 billion dollars to resolve lawsuits of people injured by their defective products.
